just picked up a 50mm 1.7 smc from ebay for 6.50 gbp! it really is a lovely lense, and i think i'll use it more than anything else.

What a ponderer I am - so many lenses still to buy & try, especially of the 20mm and under variety.
Of the lenses I have used the Pentax-F 50mm f/1.7 takes the biscuit so far - I prefer it (just) to the 'M' and 'A' - but can't put my finger on the reason why - probably has a lot to do with the way it looks on my *istD - very nice. I too leave this on the camera now.
Other faves:
Tamron SP 90mm f/2.5 macro.
SMC Takumar 400mm f/5.6 - so far so impressed. Not an everyday lens but beautiful all the same.
I am sure I will add more in a month - I have still to try my Pentax-M 24-35mm zoom.
Regards,
Simon

At the moment i have to list two lenses as my favourites. They´re so different i couldn´t choose which one i like more:
Pentax SMC-M 20/4
Jupiter-9 85/2 (m42) (i find the picture quality so awesome it almost makes up for the lack of an "auto-manual" -switch found on Takumar lenses)

What an impossible question to answer!
Of course it depends what I'm shooting, but I do find the F* 300mm f4.5 and FA* 200mm f2.8 both incredibly impressive. It's wider lenses that see the most use though, with the K 35mm f3.5 a 'stand-out' as far as sharpness and evenness of illumination go.
Must stop now, the longer I think about it, the more different lenses I might decide are my 'current favourite'...

SMC FA 50 1.4
SMC FA 100 2.8 MACRO
SMC FA 135 2.8
I like them in that order....
All provide great quality sharp and fast results.
I also own a few zooms but none I would recommend for sharpness, quality, speed etc.
Samyang 18-28KA (Ok, but not AF and just ok images)
SMC FA 28-80 3.5 (Not particularly sharp and heavy but good (just good) for indoor shooting, I miss my SMC FA28-70 4.0 ASP (broke it)
Tamron 28-200AF AS LD IF (Good for outdoors, not for in)
Sigma 100-300 AF (Wouldn't recommend)
SMC FA 70-200 4-5.6 (Don't like it at all, if I could get rid of it I would)
