will not effect any of your photography or does anyone have prove that it does?
Doesn't the extra wiring on the sensor and other overheads compromise the still image? or was I dreaming I read that somewhere?
I thought a video capable sensor was the reason that the K-7s noise capability was being hampered. I also read the same thing with the Nikon D300 and D300s
Don't know about that one though, don't see why it should effect each other...

Greytop's advice about lenses is good. You need to work out what focal length(s) you tend to use most often, then home in on that area.

But try to allow a little money for a good (but not necessarily expensive) prime lens.

If on a budget, get any old manual Pentax 50mm and then you'll have a benchmark, and a lot of fun taking portraits.

With a windfall, buy a 31mm Ltd.

I hate zooms, but I confess they are my most used lenses (especially the 16-50). My most loved lenses, however, are all primes.

The 16-45 is almost as good as the 16-50, and better value.

thanks George! I may look into the 16-45. A lot less expensive, for sure. As far as primes go, I think I want to check out the 50mm 1.4 for low, low light situations.

Be fast though the 16-45 seems to be out of production, you can also look at the tamron 17-50 f/2.8
