Wet New Years Day......

I like the Opera House shot the best. Both shots look a little short on contrast though - have a play around with the HDR settings in whichever program you use and you should be able to improve these quite a lot. Try bringing the midtone setting down a bit and raising the black clip level.

Brave man, it has been a very nasty day here in Derbyshire.
HDR always looks like one of those old postcards to me. I like the opera House with the wet stone though!

Opera house for me too - though I wouldn't have shot at that angle (unless you had no other option) as it gives a more distorted impression.

First and last for me, very subtle HDR treatment.

Thanks for the comments
fuzion I'm glad you like No.1 I like B&W but never sure how to achieve the right result, something I must study.

Thanks, I really don't like OTT HDR but when I browse on flickr all the comments seem to love over saturated over processed images (in my opinion anyway)and I have avoided hdr but have now bought photomatix but want it to look realistic.

Super shots, would be tempted to straighten up the edge of the building in the first shot.

Struggled to keep the rain off the lens, this is my first attempt at HDR and I have tried not to over do it but please tell me if you think its a bit much.
C&C welcome
The first shot of The Crescent seemed ideal for B&W, not that I'm a good judge.
The next essential place to go was of course Buxton Opera House
