How could he miss such a dynamic picture. I could just feel that caterpillar preparing to jump off that leaf. Did I say "jump", maybe I meant fall.. Colourwise it certainly could have given my peas, a run for their money.

Not really. Every photo here was taken without a macro lens. Some with a compact, some with 'standard' lenses and cropped or zooooomed in.
Quite a test this one, when you don't have a macro lens. I'm having my own contest with the camera i.e Green mode against Manual mode. So far the camera is winning, not sure I'll have beaten it by Sunday.
