I hope Patrick wont mind me starting this thread. Good wide subject should invite many many varied entries.

It's not a wide subject it's a close subject.

Hmmm good point I will have to look "closely" into this..... maybe at a 1:1 ratio and ask wide I could make such a mistake.

Quite a test this one, when you don't have a macro lens. I'm having my own contest with the camera i.e Green mode against Manual mode. So far the camera is winning, not sure I'll have beaten it by Sunday.

Hi Frankie

bit of a problem there - as an old Pentax afficionado going back to 1980s I am fortunate to have a wealth of "old stuff" including bellows, step down rings, reversing rings and a couple of M42 Macro lenses which I use fairly regularly on the *istD.

Regards

Tony

Unless I'm going completely mad I can see the discussion area for the macro competition (obviously), but can't see the actual competition itself. Come to that I can't see any of the weekly competition entries, so presumably I'm missing something?

At the top of the page select Gellery>Competitions and there you will find all the weekly competitions.

No need to link to a web image, just upload your image directly.

It is so much simpler than linking into forums. To help images load more quickly though I usually upload 1000 pixel images, just like I use for ePHOTOzine.
Best regards, John

Thanks John - I was looking in the same place as the fortnightly one.

Just a quick question, I'm probably being stupid, but do the entries for the weekly competitions have be shot within the competition time period?

I thought they did, but I've had a look at this week's and some were shot earlier?

Also, can you only upload one picture per competition?

Thanks in advance of any help given.

No. It's the fortnightly Competition were the entry has to be taken within the two week duration. The weekly can come from your back catalogue
