Sorry if my comments offended anyone - it wasn't intended. I asked the admin to add an introductions section where new members can say Hi even if they don't want to join in the discussion here - and they have added one, so hopefully we will be able to welcome new members properly in future.

Before actually joining the forum, I 'hung around on the periphery' in order to form a view.
I am pleased to say that my initial view of a very friendly and helpful forum was correct.

....but it does nark me when people join, put one post in the comp and then potentially dissapear never to return and I am not sure how we can fix / prevent that from happening....
My comment wasn't meant to be off putting to any new members, this is not a cliquey site at all. I do appologise if it came across that way.
Dont worry about about feeling "new" and "unable to offer advice" all the members started from this point, I still dont feel confident enough yet to critique some of the photos that are posted purely cause I dont have the knowledge myself, plus your still around after the competition and have now posted you first (hopefully of many) comment.
