Okay...let me have a go at understanding this:

First I find a slang......(a British saying of sorts)....then I find a word that rhymes with the slang and I take a photo of the the rhyming word.

As an example....the slang is "Two Bob Bits"....(I think I read that one on your link:shock...so 'mitts' rhyme with bits.....I would show you a photo of a 'mitt' (mittens) ....and because it rhymes with the slang word 'bits'. Then my title of the photo would read "Two Bob Bits"???

Am I close??? Is this what you are after John???

That works, Judith Ann, although 'mitts' isn't necessarily the first word that springs to mind

The snag is the rhyme is often infered and often lost in the sands of time.
If you really intend submitting a photo of a pair of mittens then a possible title could be "Cats" as in cats-n-kittens
Or a pair of gloves having the title "Turtles" as in turtle doves.

To be honest I'm sure most cockney slang is made up for TV programmes such as The Sweeney or Minder. If they haven't made it across to our outer colonies just delete this last comment

I always use Partridge`s Dictionary of Slang as my "bible"

Some very interesting words and derivatives in there !!!!
