I would have thought 50mm is 50mm most zooms have a focal length scale on them

I'm really trying not to be picky (again)but surely the term 'nifty fifty' refers to 50mm prime lenses? You particularly mentioned you had just bought one; so is it 'standard primes' or anything at 50mm?

My original intention was 50mm primes , but then i got asked to expand it , so its anything at 40mm to 60mm if that makes sense ? , i;m getting confused lol

I've just posted an image using the 43mm Limited. The range is also broad enough to cover the 40mm Limited. So I suppose the term "nifty fifty" is being used in the broader sense of "fast standard prime".
Broadening that to any lens set to 50mm-ish does bring in those who only have zooms, so no-one should be excluded.
I think that's what nipper was saying, if I've understood the intent.

Nipper - I've added a shot to the entries that I'm not sure complies with the rules - however since there is nothing in the Weekly Competition Rules and Guidance thread to clarify then I'll let you decide if it's a valid entry or not ! There is nothing to say when a shot had to be taken to be valid for entry - the one posted was taken on 29th April with a Cosina 55/1.2.
