Wait for Pentax K-m?

Yet the Pentax site says from the 8th Nov..

Just spoke to the local photo shop here and they called to pentax for it. They said it will be December before they have it in the shop here, the advice price for the K-M + DA-L18-55 is €499 and K-M + DA-L18-55 + DA-L50-200 is €599. The actuale shop price will be lower though around the 90% so €450 (£370) and €540 (£430) just to give you an idea. so srsmicrosystems has quite a good price

Just musing- why K-m in UK and K2000 in US? Not sure about elsewhere.

I don't know but it does have precedent, e.g. the Program A in the UK and the Program Plus in the US, Super A in the UK, Super Program in the US... Perhaps it is harking back the the K1000? But why in the US and not in the UK? Where do the names come from anwyway? *istDS2 was always a bit of a mouthful.

well anyone that has held a conon 450 d or nikon d60 will know the build quality isnt up to the quality of the k200d and the km wont be to the price difference isnt much you would be mad to go for the km over the k200d advantages of the k200d are dust and water proofing, 11 autofocus points, and top lcd, and metal boby the km has 5 autofocus points, plastic body,and no dust and water proofing.
i will take an extra 300 grames and a little bit of extra size any day. + srs are doing the k200d now for £407 and wait, this comes with mk 2 18-55mm lens + battery grip you cant beat that now can you.
