Venice in Monochrome - Part 2

Part 2 of the trip to Italy in 2018 - Hope you enjoy some of them. I think our photography can change and evolve, I find myself questioning my self imposed rules and 'standards' more and more - and one of the main reason I re-visited these (and the first set) is because on my first pass through I was disappointed in the sharpness of some (not lens/sensor related - but slow shutter speed) - reading about one of the greatest rock'n'roll album covers a few weeks ago made me re-assess how I see some images (and encouraged me to buy a Pentax ESII) :oops: :lol: 1. Whizzing Waiter 2. C'mon Kids 3. So where exactly are we? 4. A hard days shopping! 5. Dinner at Doge's 6. Back street break 7. We'll have what he's having.... 8. Student sit-in 9. Glide of the Gondola 10. Fruity foray :wink:

Really impressed with both sets.
I was in Venice in 2016 using the MX-1. I found that a lot of my images were nondescript and just filed them without really looking. Having seen these sets prompted me to re-visit mine and what do you know, converting to black and white has resulted in some rather good ones!!8

Thanks again for the additional comments - they are greatly appreciated. It's clearly a popular destination from the number of "me too's" and I think the more often you go the more you see!

Oldhat - I'm glad you've revisited your images - I saw the superb shot in the gallery
