I can see cells!!! Not well resolved, but definitely there. Cells in bulbs tend to be quite large as they store a lot.
The cell walls are only just resolved and rather badly at that but, they are visible. This is a 100% crop. It is actually easier to see the detail at 1/4 resolution.

Got myself some bellows the other day, so may try reversing a lens on the front of another, on the bellows to see what happens. Luckily, I have a flash.
