Just about as different as 2 bridges could be David.
Love the composition of the first one and the minimalist feel.
As for the second one - who could resist that beautiful stretch of water at any time and with those wonderful autumn colours - I wish I was walking down the river bank now with K5 in hand.

Love them both David, just one query regarding #1 where were you in the Baltic, I went to the viewing platform but they have that horrible perspex screen. Tried a couple of shots but got a lot of 'rainbows' etc. I've added a topic "shooting through perspex" to show what I mean

That first shot is an absolute peach of an image, brilliantly composed. I like the second one too, but the first is exceptional.

Thanks for all your comments. The colours in No 2 seemed more vibrant
on my monitor than they do now its been uploaded.
Stan: This wasn't shot from the viewing platform on the top floor but from the viewing area inside the building on the floor beneath. You still have to shoot through glass and reflections can be a problem.
Mike: I didn't think it blue enough for what you have in mind. Also it was taken last month but perhaps that is less an issue.

I love number one.
As Carl said, it has a nice minimalist feel to it, also, the reflections in the water are as intersting as the bridge itself.

The newest bidge to link Newcastle and Gateshead over the Tyne - The Millennium Bridge - seen from the Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art.
K30+DA*50-135mm lens
Autumn in Durham
After a visit to my favourite coffee shop in Durham I had a walk over Framwellgate Bridge with the K5 and DA*50-135mm lens yesterday. Prebends Bridge, built in the 1700s, is in the distance.
