Two 'Late' Foxgloves - Digitalis Purpurea.

I was surprised how late in the summer this specimen sprouted out from around an old one, as around here all the ones in the wild are long gone. Taken this morining in my garden, started flowering about a week ago and is small at 30cm / 12 inch high. SOOC.

Set off nicely by the dark background.

I have always liked foxgloves. Both from when as a little kid I really though foxes wore them to today when I admire their beauty.

ps. I still have a sneaking suspicion that foxes might wear them
