Always worth a visit and this time an early start worked out.

Well done. In the 40+ years I've lived close to Portland, I've never thought it worth going there to see the sun rise. You've almost convinced me it would be worth doing. But my biological clock is much more aligned to sunsets...

Was it breakfast at the Lobster Pot??

When we got to Portland ( having persuaded my partner an early , early start was a good idea) there was a twenty minute tense "will it or won't happen "because of the cloud, however if you are close to Portland it's got to be worth a try . After sun rise it was back in the car and over to the Lulworth ranges and Corfe .

No 3 again. I am always impressed by those who manage to function at that time of day.

Lovely Photographs Phil. Well worth getting up early. You can always sit down later on in the day. I knew Portland well whilst serving in the Royal Navy

Did you know the Harbour Club at Weymouth equally well?? Lots of military police loitering outside when the fleet was in. Can't guess why...
