It's next weekend at Whitby.

I'll be there and will make the effort to be at the bottom of the 199 steps around 10am, probably both Sat & Sun.

No long glass this year (70-200mm), just the K-1 + 24-90mm and the Z + 45-85mm.

Best regards.

I'm planning to go on Saturday. Hope to be in the coffee shop in Sandgate early but will head for the steps at 10am.

We were going and then I was given a whole list of things we had to do that weekend.

Might still make it with a couple of granddaughters in tow, we'll see.
Best regards, John

I'll be there (again) our favorite Steampunk band is playing at the Spa on Saturday evening and there will no doubt be plenty of beverages consumed, if anyone sees me on Sunday please talk quietly I'll be the one in a top hat........depending on what I'm wearing.

David: it would be good to catch up but I doubt we'll get down for that time, if you PM me your mobile I'll give you a call and if your anywhere nearby the coffees on me

I've PM'd you Alan. It would be great to see you again but I only plan to stay at The Goths for the morning and very early afternoon after which I might try to grab some steam train shots on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway.

It would have been good to get together with some of the original "gang", but a trip to North Wales is in the way.

Thanks for the offer, but I think it's a bit out of your way.

A good day at Whitby today. Rained early on but cleared up and sun out by 10am. Met up with David Trout at the abbey steps. Can't make Whitby tomorrow as have to drive to Warwick and back.

I popped there this afternoon. Mainly took harbour views and street scenes; regarding which I feel the two characters made this view:

A good shot John. Weather was chilly in the wind but still a good turn out. I've posted some images here: link.

Leaving for Warwick soon.

Best regards

What I like about that is, apart from the odd bit of plastic downpipe, the complete absence of modern intrusions such as TV aerials, satellite dishes, yellow lines etc!

It was good to meet you again Gary, and later I met up with Alan Chapman (Fatspider) and Mrs Chapman.
Gary what a super selection - how have you found time to process them so quickly?
JAK, I like your street scene.
I'd better start working on my Goths images soon although I'm not very excited by any I took yesterday.
I think I got better results from the North Yorkshire Moors Railway.
