Time lapse/ intervalometer /*istD

I want to take time lapse sequences using the *istD SLR. The TS110 remote made for the MZ film SLR would seem to do the job but I've not seen one and I'm sure the connector is not compatible. Does anyone know what the pin-out connections are on the TS110 and whether it would work on the DSLR if I replaced the plug with a 2.5mm stereo jack? A significant issue is whether the TS110 would wake the camera up before tripping the shutter

Your other approach is to use a laptop and the Pentax remote software. I believe you can do time lapse that way, but you may need a power supply for the *ist-D. The computer remains tethered to the *ist-D by USB and controls it that way

Thanks for that. I do have the Pentax remote software and that would be good for studio based set-ups. I'm really looking to do sequences of cloudscapes and tidal movements which are likely to involve location set-ups lasting several hours. So the power problem is very real. MG
