fasty,

Codes are listed here:
https://www.pentaxuser.com/faq/pentaxerrorcodes.html

E2 is a shutter related fault. Needs Pentax to repair it.

Hi just wanted to say that i had the same problem happen to me on a round the world trip, and a result returned home with 50 rolls of film that were blank!!!!!

I then returned the camera as it was under warranty (less than 10 months old i might add) and was given a replacement (YEAH!!)... an Espio 60 V the next model up, which also didnt work when i took photos at my best friends wedding.... (yet another once in a lifetime event)

The replacement camera does not even come close to making up for firstly the cost of purchasing 50 rolls of film and the resulting development costs (over $500 worth), let alone the fact that i lost 4 weeks worth of travel memories and special moments during my first trip overseas... and then for that one to not work also has been devastating.

as a result i will NEVER be purchasing a Pentax again, and also will recommend to EVERYONE that i know not to buy one either!

Sincerely
ANGRY Pentax user
