If you're not using the Astrotraceer function, you really should give it a go.
Having the ability to record a single exposure of 120 seconds at ISO as low as 800 and the ability to stop your lens down to its sweet spot, this was f5.6 and all at 24mm is simple staggering. Then to end up with an image as sharp as this
Admittedly to get the foreground sharp a second image is required using the same settings and simply merged in post.

This was at 70mm f4 ISO400 and 120 seconds, two full minutes without star trails. Awesome

Well done, I've tried it a couple of times but not had these results.
C&C welcome.

Excellent results. I keep meaning to try as I live near the new forest which is perfect for this type of thing.

Well done - nice merge with the foreground.

I have tried the Astrotracer as its built in to my K3ii, but I eventually made myself a checklist as I kept forgetting some vital setting. When you do get it working, it's great.

Well done, I do like Milky Way images.

I must get out and have another go at it myself at some point.

Great stuff.

I feel a tutorial coming on. What lenses and processing and planning for shot etc?

Beautiful pictures. The astrotracer has me torn... do I get one for my current camera (K-70) or do I look to sell and buy a used K-1?! I'm tending towards the former.
