Did you get yours from Mifsuds, Mike? Has it been them dragging their heals or was it lack of stock?

To be fair it was a combination of a lot of things. First of all Mifsuds told me to send it direct to Johnsons and had I done so it would have been a lot quicker but as I purchased it from them I thought they should be involved. They then refused to pay the return postage because of the mistake with the original 2 lens kit price so I had to start quoting the sale of goods act and they finally agreed to pick up the bill. For some reason though they wanted me to package it up and send it in special delivery rather than use their own courier service which I would have thought was a cheaper option.Did you get yours from Mifsuds, Mike? Anyway .. they recieved it and sent it to Johnsons the following day, just as the snow hit which delayed it just enough for them to be closed for Christmas and New years holiday until 4th January. Johnons tested it and got back to me in a couple of days saying it would be replaced but the new bodies (which came from France) were delayed and they finally got them Tuesday.
I should have just kept it until after the new year, used the old one as much as possible and then sent it in after a few months when all the fuss had died down.

Thanks. I had one one the K5 kits from them as well. When I first tested for marks I could not see any but I've started using Raw and some of the typical marks are now showing up. I'll try and speak to Mifsuds tomorrow. Thanks for the info.

Deposit paid and picking it up on tuesday......cant wait i loved the k-m, then i loved the k-x but the k-5 is going to be outstanding
I've just placed my Kx in the classifieds at work (bit of a long-shot, I know). If/when sold I hope to follow this same route.Deposit paid and picking it up on tuesday......cant wait i loved the k-m, then i loved the k-x but the k-5 is going to be outstanding
I'd be intrigued to find out how the K5 compares to the Kx with regards to size/weight, as I have very small hands.
Apologies for getting off-track, please let us know how you get on with the new baby

I love it, as much as i loved the k-x this is so much better, to be honest the size is not noticeable, and its a lot lighter too.
It really is a great camera, hope it pans out well and you get one soon
