Do any of you have experience of www.telebid.com?

Prices seem to good to be true even with the bidding charges.

Although the bidding charges could get prohibitive if you got into a bidding war...

I'll have to watch that one a bit... Didn't see any Pentax gear in the current or future bids right now...

1st time I've seen that, very interesting!

Easy to see how they make their money, when they are charging you 50p per bid, and there is no fixed end time for any auction!

Quick look shows one example - 42" tv that normally sells for £999.99 'sold' for £413.70. Each bid goes up by 7p at a time so

£413.70 / 0.07 = 5910 bids

5910 x £0.50 = £2955

Not a bad profit there at all, it's one of those very simple ideas that make you think 'why didn't I think of that!'

I've been watching it this evening only because their advert appears on this site which just shows how much attention any of us pay to them They have had PENTAX P&Ss before and although the final hammer price is good you dont know how much someone has actually paid. I have a feeling it might be like some hi-tec fairground side show.
