Taking a photo

Some of you may remember my purchase of a Horseman 5x4 view camera (see thread). I went to Royston yesterday to try it out and my lady love took the following snap. She wanted me to enter it into the "people at work" competition but I thought it was more "people at play". I really must get a proper dark cloth

It is an illusion that photos are made with the camera… they are made with the eye, heart and head. Henri Cartier-Bresson
Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.

Is that your new Schneider on the front there? Is it any good after all the waiting? Nice towel btw!

With a bit of tweaking, I think that would make a good entry for the competition by Mrs. Womble

There is still time

What a towel, Kris you NEED a decent dark cloth.

Unless you want all the passers-bye to laugh at the sight!

Still, nice to see the Horseman in use, will we see a scan from the finished print?:
Cheers, HG

K110+DA40, K200+DA35, K3 and a bag of lenses, bodies and other bits.

Mustn't forget the Zenits, or folders, or...

PPG entries.

Nope. I am still trying to get hold of a Copal 0 lensboard. The lens is the Rodenstock Sironar-N 210mm. I'm taking this whole LF thing slowly

If any of the five photographs I took yesterday are any good I'll post a scan.

Sadly not although I can use my old flashes with it. No electronics to fry!

Cheers, Kris.

For authenticity, can I suggest you acquire a wooden tripod

Not so authentic, but I did acquire Rich's (leytono) "Titan" tripod and now have a Copal 0 lensboard, a bag bellows and a Pentax lupe. Still haven't got a dark cloth though. Biggest problem now is that the deep developing tanks at work have mould growing in them... YUCK

No-one should be without their towel! That's Douglas Adams 101.
