We had a company evening out at Leicester races last week and I came away £50 better off Inevitably LBA kicked in and I made an impulse purchase of a 'faulty' ZENIT ES Photosniper. Mostly for the novelty factor but also I was curious as to how good the old Russian TAIR 3 (300mm F4.5 prime) was.

Here are a couple of test shots from the K20D of Minnie the cat. The light was fading, hence the less than ideal (for the K20D) ISO 800. I have to say I'm very impressed. The weight and focus action takes a bit of getting used to but I'm looking forward to having a proper go with it.

Love the 2nd shot. realy has some character.

btw -not a lens you should use for street photography.

Armed police shot a man carrying a wooden table leg once.

Thanks chaps. Like you say Smeggy, probably not something to start pointing around in the street - for some reason I'm very tempted though.
