Poppy field - 6 images

First poppy field I have ever seen near me, 'twas only 1 mile away from my house.

Spent a good hour wandering around it the other night... I had just came off a 12 hour shift too! Dedication?

Then I was just trying something different in PhotoShop.

Let me know what you think.

1. pano - edge burnt in PhotoShop

2. pano - showing the amount of poppies, well for me anyway

A lovely set. I think the first one's my favourite but the vignette is a little heavy, I feel.

I like the Orton effect on 4, it looks interesting and the burnt edge works well.
1 also good, the framing works for me but could be a bit smoother.

I like the last, but not sure that the vignetting is needed? Thre's a bit of empty frame at the top that might benefit from a crop, perhaps aroud where that faint green line goes across?

These are very nice, all of them really! But I don't like the vignettes either.

10/10 for the images. Nil point for the vignette effect.

I should add that I have found the vignetting tool in Lightroom and may have over used it

I have re-done some of the above without the vignetting and have also cropped the last one as i-Berg suggested.

Yes, definitely prefer the last set - a case of less is more. No. 1 and 6 are my favourites,

Much better without the vignetting.

#5 in the first set is my fav. #6 was better colours in the first set, btu the crop is better in the 2nd set

I have tried to stay away from the vignetting button, for now...

It's great to get a few more 'eyes' looking at them, thanks.

I see what you mean Gareth, will tackle that crop another day.

Yeah Smeggy, I dunno what I've done to the colour on the 2nd crop... will re-visit that one too!
