Thank you for your help Kris!

I have currently only used the lens on my Spotmatic, and scanned the film. What kind of an adaptor do I need to use the Super-Takumar on my K20D?

K mount to M42 adaptors are readily available. Make sure you get the sort that sits flush inside the throat of the camera as the ones with a flange stop the lens focusing to infinity. Genuine Pentax adaptors are now an insane price. Second hand ones are available on ebay. SRB-Griturn also make good quality adaptors for less than the genuine Pentax ones.

The easiest way to use a Super Tak on a K20D is put the camera in Av mode. Use the Auto-manual slider on the lens to open and close the aperture. Have it on auto (wide open) to focus and then slide it to manual (stopped down) to shoot.

Best wishes, Kris.

It is an illusion that photos are made with the camera… they are made with the eye, heart and head. Henri Cartier-Bresson
Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.
