ME TOO! Fantastic shots Dave. I love the one with the Bee.
The 'satiny' texture that the K3/100mm combination has produced is interesting. I too have been photographing red tulips today using a K5 and Sigma 105, they simply do not have that sheen irrespective of the camera/light positioning.

I'm a massive fan of both the DFA 100mm macro and the DA*50-135, they both have a magical way of rendering images. Having said that, I'm also a fan of the Sigma 105 macro and only sold it because I couldn't justify owning two macro lenses of similar focal length. I think the K-3 also has a significant effect on the images, it really is a superb camera and is leaving my K-5IIs in the shade at the moment. The K-3 does seem to add a sort of 'gloss' to images and produces more accurate colours than the K-5IIs does. I have had to adjust the red hue though to make it accurate to the actual colour of these flowers; all Pentax cameras seem to add a magenta tint to reds. The 'satiny' texture that the K3/100mm combination has produced is interesting. Nice images.
The red tulips in the first one really pop out of the dark background.

Lovely, David. Given the quality of these and previous bird shots, is it time for a PU trip to your back garden?

2nd one for me too, great shot, BTW what happened to the colours in the shot taken with the 50-135?
Cheers Steve, I think I got it wrong on that one! The DA*50-135 renders the colours differently to the DFA macro, but I had to adjust the reds on all of them to get rid of the famous 'Pentax Magenta' tint that is there straight from the camera. I processed the last shot at a separate time to the first two and overdid the adjustment on the red hue, it's gone too orangey. Not the fault of the lens, but my ham-fisted processing!2nd one for me too, great shot, BTW what happened to the colours in the shot taken with the 50-135?
Cheers
