They are stunning, but I'm not sure NASA will be very happy having them on a website like that - they are all NASA copyright.
My husband used to work in the space business when we were in the UK and we still have many friends who work for NASA. We used to get fabulous photos from them, from amongst others the Voyager missions but also from the shuttle missions.
I framed many of them, including an early shuttle one, when they still painted the tanks white - it looks like a modern Taj Mahal.

Gwyn,

"NASA still images, audio files and video generally are not copyrighted." (see here).

That are really nice and clear pictures. (Must have been a very clear day in space ).
How inappropriate to call this planet earth when it is quite clearly Ocean. - Arthur C. Clarke

Does anyone have any idea what camera and lens combination were used for these photos? Just curious. Are they digital or film photos. Does NASA still use Hassleblads?
Chris.

I have seen in other articles, that NASA mostly uses Nikon Gear. Digital and Film. It seems that Nikon is the only camera maker who passed the tests concerning safety , in using electronic systems( as modern camera's are) on board of planes and space shuttles. I know for a fact that The RAF is using Nikon for the same reason.(Article in Practical Photography a year ago)
I have also seen photo's of the ISS loaded with Nikon gear. So based on that, you could say Nikon is out there in space.

This is one link, for your interest.

What a pity Pentax did not compete and ensure it's cameras passed the electronic tests. Everywhere you look you get Canon and Nikon pushed into your face. The current crop of pentax digital slr's are very good indeed and once Pentax introduce more quality lenses to chose from, what will really count is the photo's not the camera that was used to produce them. Anyway enough of that. Time to move on.............

Maybe it makes you sleep better, knowing that the sunglasses those pilots are wearing, have pentax glass in them.
