I have acquired an old SP1000 in decent condition to have a play with.

Only problem is I am struggling to find a battery to fit. I have several cards of varying sizes but none of them fit.

Does anybody know what size battery this camera takes?

Carl,

info here: link

I use the weincell with my Spotmatic, a bit more expensive, but it has exactly the right voltage.

Try one of these.

Voltage is immaterial on the basic Spotties as they had a bridge circuit in the meter.

Small Battery Company are reliable, I have used them many times.

They also sell the Weincell, link. Same price, but voltage is 1.35v.

+1 for the Small Battery Company. I also buy from them and they are very fast and reliable, prices seem to be good too....

I use a LR-44 with a bit of plastic around it to stop it moving Carl.

Works OK and a card of 10 cost less than £1.50 at Boyes.

You can tell I'm a Yorkshireman...
