That's an idea , I am off to open an account on flickr, its about time, some of my friends been bugging me to upload some shots there, this seems the right time.

Gimme a few mins and will have one up and running ha.

But I think I have cracked the mystery, hehehehhe, still not 100% sure but just called my neighbour to have a look at it now .

Aminstar,
You seem to be getting Paranoid with your K20D there is nothing wrong with it, that first shot is a one off (yes I can see the Red on the right)your looking for nothing again.

Nope, not paranoid at all. Actually I for one am pretty sure that its nothing to do with the camera or lens. Its just to do with the angle and the curiosity about how that image came up looking like that under the circumstances rather than thinking it was something wrong with the lens or camera.

At first I thought it was refraction due to water droplet on the lens, and then after reading one of the comments about a wall I went out and checked (mainly because I knew there is no wall there) so I wanted to know what obscured that part of the image.

And I have just found out what originated that image . If the weather wasn't the way it was it would have been pretty clear but the snow just added to the mystery, and the colours of the two trees, the closer one being greener than the other one and positioning of both in relation to where I was standing taking the shot just made the image look the way it is.

Anyone wants to throw in a guess what could it be?

HINT: My neighbour has a Freelander and she parks it front end straight into the driveway

Spider,

you are close, very close hehehhe, what else would look like a wheelie bin but its not a wheelie bin? ha, same colour but is part of the rear end of the Freelander?

Would be too high for a wheelie bin anyway

Check second image, where the Freelander was parked, but between me taking the first and the second shot she had driven away, so the second image was making it tricky as it gives the impression that there was no car at all in the first image too, but the fact is the Freelander was parked there in the first image and she was walking to it

Ok ok, I give you that one then. You guessed it.

The bleeming dark image is the spare wheel of the Freelander covered with snow, which continues down from the edges of the tree closer to the lens giving the impression that its cutting across the snow covered plants from the left.
Oh dear, I think I have made a mess explaining what it is Helpppp again please, anyone who got the idea and can express it better than I do

Thanks

Well at least that is solved then.

So, the order of the objects, from near to farther away, is:

Lady in Red
Snow-covered rear-mounted spare wheel on Freelander (with back of roof behind Lady in Red's head)
Near fir tree
Garden bushes
Far fir tree

Solved. Top marks for tenacity!

Ray,

Spot on.

And the prize goes to "RAY"

I will go and get a shot hopefully the Freelander is still in the driveway, she does leave early to work. But if its out then I will wait till its back so I can get a proper shot with it on the same position. And I will focus that detail so things are pretty clear. Only the snow will be missing now as its all melted ha

I cannot see anything unusual in this pic. The second one is taken from another viewpoint so it's difficult to compare the two.
For me it all looks real, especially since the "vertical" you refer to is inclined just as the rest of the picture. I would say it is some fence post or similar covered with snow and a different shrub growing just behind it.
You cannot see that in the second shot as the viewpoint is more to the right...

Prieni
James,

I take back what I wrote on the previous comment. You did notice it and when I reviewed your comment you clearly said "I would say it is some fence post or similar covered with snow and a different shrub growing just behind it"

So you were the first one to notice, , Ray, sorry but James gets the prize, we were still fumbling when he had already got it first time ha
