I Have this lens Ian it is that sharp you could shave with it.
It has to be one of the best 50mm's ever.

I bought mine only recently and have some lovely photos taken with it well worth the money.

What ever you do dont use it for portrait work with spotty faced people, it picks up every defect on the skin black heads and the like.Frightening

I like the photo but it looks like the monument is leaning to the right to me.

I have also a 50mm I.7 Manual and when you get the focus right it's pin sharp problem is my eyes are not what they were and Im a bit hitty missy with it so went for the 1.4 auto but kept the 1.7.

Very "Hitty" This one Pin sharp is what i would call it.
