Some long(ish) exposures

Finally got out and about today and found I'd missed the Autumn. All the colour's on the ground.

'tis my second attempt at long exposure. First time out with the Hitech ND filters and DA 16-45 lens.

All taken with the K20 in bulb mode, wired remote thingy, all at f22 to avoid over exposure Hitech ND 06.

And a spooky b/w (I hope it looks spooky anyway)

I'm not a long exposure fan usually but I like these - the last one does look a little spooky
K10D, K5 plus plenty of clueless enthusiasm.

Me too, especially the first one, where you ave created the illusion of movement without turning the water to cotton wool/milk.

Love the last one too .

The standout shot here is the fourth one Charlotte, it is beautiful. The exposures are not too long but just ong enought to get the effect that only long exposure photos can give.

A very nice set altogether, and my favorite is the first image. I find both the colours and the composition especially appealing in number one.

I don't normally like the milkiness of the water in long exposures, but these are not overly done. Numbers 1 and 4 for me, especially number 1

These are a fine set of images Charl, would have been proud to take any one of them, I love the last mono shot, and yes it does look really spooky. Has put me in the mood for The Secret of Crickley hall which is on tonight

Thank you all so much for taking the time to comment. It was nice to get home and find that I actually managed a couple of not too bad shots.

It's trickier than I thought it would be. This lens is going to take a bit of getting used to as well - it zooms the wrong way.

I quite like the last one as well, it's not often you'll hear me say that about one of my photos.

They are pretty good, Charlotte. Well done.

I like spooky, and no 4 is just that!!

Thanks DS,
These have given me the impetus to get out more and try harder.

I need to find something else (apart from insects :roll to be passionate about, enough to take decent photos.
