A few from the Free Flight Nationals held at RAF Barkston Heath over the BHW.

launch

post launch

good air and light

fly past

retrieval of an FAI F1C open power model

balsa/tissue ducted fan jet

87 years old and still actively flying free flight (also a real gentleman).

Andrew Boddington getting clear as Alex Whitaker shoots Alan Husband's FF model

A great event, a great weekend and great company.

I used the K-1 and K5 IIs with a Sigma 100-300mm and the 24-90mm Pentax lenses to cover the whole event.

Do they just let these things loose or are they radio controlled?
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass

How wonderfuly eccentric! My favourite is the shot of the old boy. But the following one is a great capture (maybe crop it so as to lose the guy in the hi-viz?)
