A wander down to the Purton Hulks (whats left of them). Deliberately beached boats to form a protective barrier from River Severn to Canal

I am not normally a fan of IR but these are all great and importantly work well together.

thanks for looking and comments, all taken with converted camera Flan . PP in photoshop with some having a tweak in NIK. all IR images have to have some level of post processing and some pre work as well, custom camera profile and custom white balance. quite easy with all the information available on Youtube. Gives an excuse to get out in mid day sun as well as or instead of the prime times of sunrise and sunset

I don't have a favourite, I think they're all outstanding.

Okay, okay, if really, and I mean really, pushed, I could go for #5. IR creates such interesting images don't you think? And as pschlute says, they really work well together. Couldn't agree more.

I too am not an IR fan but these have made full use of what it offers. I do ask myself if I would feel the same in the absence of the explanatory bit. Knowing what you are looking at does help overall perception.

thanks again. David, i felt as it is such a local piece of history well known around here but not the big wide world the explanation was a must. There used to be a lot more but people pinched all the fittings from them and others broke peces off for fires.
