Great set of images. 👍
I too like this area as it's not that far from where I live. Still have a roll of film to develop which I shot in Cwmorthin! 😊

I love the Welsh mountains.... and I absolutely love these pictures.
I'll be there myself later next month, mainly to photograph the narrow gauge railways but I'll be doing some landscapes as well.

Beautiful photos, amazing light. Goes to show you don't need an ultra wide angle to get great landscapes.
They all makes me very homesick!

A great selection, beautifully layered compositions and strong contrasts! Perfect examples of mountain landscapes, for which telephotos really do seem to be well suited.

Many thanks all, much appreciated
We did get dead lucky with the light. Wonderful changing conditions, and I've some more to process which I've got high hopes for.
Makes up for the days of flat-as-a-pancake light conditions

A strong, dramatic set. We're off there for a long weekend. I'll take the K10 and a weather-proof lens...
Best wishes,
Andrew

Went on a hike up Moelwyn Mawr weekend before last during a landscape photography workshop run by Greg Whitton. Very indulgent to go on a workshop, but thoroughly enjoyed it and learned a hell of a lot. Greg's a top teacher and ran it brilliantly.
Anyways, three images from the hike
#1 Slate Fence
#2 Snowdon
#3 Distant Glyderau
All taken with the Pentax DA*50-135, which I am really starting to enjoy for telephoto landscapes.
Some of my vaguely better stuff
