Silent Members

I occasionally check to see who is online.

Two things have occurred to me whilst doing this:

1. We do seem to be getting a number of new members - welcome all
2. There are always a number of members online whom I have never seen any input or images from.

So - to the silent members - new and old - it would be great to see you all joining in - we don't bite - honest.

I am sure we all lurk at times Daz, nothing wrong with that - but with over 1500 posts - you are not exactly a lurker

I'm one of those lurkers I must admit..

As I only started out with photography just over a year ago I regard myself as a beginner, therefore I don't feel I could actually contribute that much yet.

And secondly, as English isn't my first language it can be a real struggle to write things down correctly...

Peter

Great to hear from you and please do not let being a relative beginner put you off joining in - we have all been beginners. When I was a beginner, I received masses of great advice from other forum members - it is a great place to learn.

As for your English - looks fine to me

Regards

I must admit, I have now sold all my pentax gear and have changed to another system. I tried to switch to another forum but have to come back to my favourite one to see what's going on. I say I won't buy another pentax, but who knows.

I'd let your photographs do the talking, Pete. Universal language.
Best wishes,

I have noticed that there are still quite a few members who post frequently. I don't as much as I used to simply because I'm not producing much I'd want to share. The good news is my left eye is getting a little better, I can make out the first letter and second row, if I move my head about, of an opticians test card. Still plagued with double vision but in a couple of months it may be worth getting new specs. Consultant was talking about sticking a needle in my eye, if he feels it necessary, in two months time. Personally I'm looking forward to that as much as I'd look forward to licking cat's pee off nettles. Still mustn't complain

I must admit to being a bit of a lurker. I don't always feel I have a great deal to add to threads, but will post if I feel I do.

I've bought a few items through the forum and sold one. I also posted a few pics recently in "Your Photos"

The main problem though is that I just don't get out with my camera enough at the moment to be truly immersed in photography! That will change though

Okay, you've shamed me into it: I'm a lurker. In fact I joined last May but haven't made a single post. My only excuse is that I'm quite active on the US site (as Dartmoor Dave) and was content to just be an observer over here. Here's a couple of recent shots to get started with.
