Should I buy 21mm Ltd

Hmm the 21, In my previous Pentax incarnation I had all of the DA limitd series at one time or another (Minus the 35) the 21 was the one that stayed on the Camera nealry all the time, and that was the problem, I loved it soo much I never took the damn thing off! I think the point about it being close to the view of the single human eye is moot. It just looks right, everything you shoot with it just looks right, so it gets used to death, it's very addictive indeed, I found my Photography actually suffered in the time I owned it but then I'm probably an extreme case, I settled on the modern quadrangle of 15/21/40/70, all of which are lovely but in reality the 15 and the 21 don't really provide any better image quality than the 12-24mm (Save for a little better microcontrast), they are however impossibly cute on the Camera and a joy to own and use, so an emphatic "YES", you should buy one from me but be prepared for addiction, and it will need it's little brothers too, so make sure you have the readies to help keep the little guy from being lonely

I'm not sure if it is a good idea....77 is surely a great lens, but those two you have already are pretty rare and very good ones. Unless you really need AF, I would hesitate to sell them (especially K50) to finance 77limited.

Yes I know Kingfisher I don't really use them and as they only owe me about 85 quid, I can't help but contemplate what I could make on them...capitalist 'tard that I am
Mind you I am considering buying one of these to help the 1.2 view. Already got the Ess screen which helps a lot.

yep, Tenpa magnifier helps a lot, but I need to find some nice splitscreen to make it even easier. Definitely go for it...

btw. I do have 77 limited which might go for sale, but given the fact that you're in New Zealand it will be probably too expensive for you to buy anythin from EU with added value of import duties and shipping, right?

or maybe look out for FA20/2.8, rare, more expensive but fullframe and doesn't come with this limited bug

I tossed up between the 15 & the 21, buying the latter. The 21 "fits" my eye, that is the FL seems natural for me as the image I picture is what I see when I look through the lens. It's not got the image quality of my FA31 but it's light, discrete, fits my eye & is a joy to use. Sure it could be faster & the IQ higher (but it's pretty good) but as a walk around lens, particularly for Street Photography, it's hard to beat.

I got one last year link and it's been a gem of a lens. I did keep it and bought another for the gift.

You could also consider the wonderful Voigtlander Color Skopar 20/3.5. Great colours and better sharpness across the frame - but MF only.

However the 21 Ltd / A20/2.8 and VL 20/3.5 are all around the same price.

There are some threads on PF on Voigtlanders ( I only have one but some of those guys have plenty more) and discussions and comparisons with the Pentax equivalents, plenty of shots too. It is no surprise that VL lenses are so sharp, the SLII series currently in production are made by Cosina, who also make Zeiss lenses ! And of course there is always the legendary 125mm macro *drools*.

mille19, that depends on type of photography - in landscape photography sharpness is pretty important
