I live about 30 miles south of Birmingham, but I would be prepared to come in for a meeting of forum members (by car or by train).
I would prefer to have a meet with a specific purpose, rather than just saying let's meet for a chat/coffee/drink.

Why not try meeting informally at "Focus on Imageing" as a few of us did a couple of years ago, just to say hello. I'm sure some members could arrange a day and time to meet up.

Sadly, I would not have the money for FOI. It's also not my cup of tea. I would be a light nylon anorak in a sea of fur!

Focus on imageing. Register early. Tell them your a pro. and it's free.

The Jockey Morris Men are performing on their Annual Plough Tour in the city centre on Sat 12th January, starting at 10.30am.
