Shea's Spider - RIP

Over the last few weeks my 4 year old son has taken quite an interest in the spiders in our lobby.

Typical UK garden spiders but these had flourished to quite a size.

Last night I slapped my Tamron 70-300mm on my K100d and took a few shots.

I had tried with my micro-nikkor but couldn't get close enough without a step! (Short Ar*e!)

Today the spiders lost their lives when some older boys attacked them with a football - Shea was quite distraught.

Here are the shots - Shea's spider RIP.

That's a real shame - I'm very fond of garden spiders
