So the Royal Artillery is reduced to using sabres and pumpkins? These cuts in military spending have gone too far.
Nice crisp shots, but you seem to have trouble keeping the subject in the frame. Might be worth being a bit further back, and cropping more. Or using a shorter lens, like the 18-55.

ETA: Also, lower ISO and a higher shutter speed would have permitted a larger aperture, to throw the background out of focus.
ETA more: Just seen you were already on f4.5 in at least one shot, so depending on which lens you were using, you might not have been able to open up further.

I took the big lense as I thought they wouldn't let me anywhere near, but when they where all smiles and said not a problem come and stand over here, I jumped at the chance.
I learnt a quick lesson yesterday that you don't get any second chances with a moveing object.
Thanks for the advice, I will remember this for future use. Would the same ideas work with rally cars for example?
