Sounds like the camera to me too, sadly a replacement will cost far less than a repair.

The results come back as a failure. The film progressed through and then rewound., yet the film is completely blank.
The mirror is functioning correctly but the sync curtain does not move. Two little fingers of steel move as is to lift the curtain on firing, but nothing happens.
What is strange, at least to me, if you then put the camera in the bulb mode and fire, holding the button, the curtain raises and holds for as long as you maintain pressure on the firing button.
I have changed settings through manual, servo and single but no change.
Is this the camera or is this me???
