Pentax have been marketing similar for a while now, available from SRS and others. I bought one when a spot would not be removed by the high frequency shaking.
It may seem expensive, but it is an intelligent buy if vibration doesn't work and you need to clean a sensor. I would be very wary of letting anything else in contact with a sensor surface.

Yikes, that looks massive! From his demo it looks good and easy. I bought a speckgrabber (which was the same era the Pentax version I think) a couple of years ago which looks like a mini version of that. It picked up dust nicely, but it did leave a residue that was visible in photos and about 4 times the size of the original spot. I ended up having to wet clean the sensor to get rid of the mark. Still in my drawer if anyone wants it for a fiver?

Wet cleaning is still the best method when you need to clean it and your cam doesn't have ultrasonic sensor shaking.

I've got the Pentax version mentioned above and, yes, it works. (Or worked - used mainly on *istDS rather than K5, haven't needed it for a while). No residue that I'm aware of.

Same problem here I've never had to clean the sensor of my K5. The sensor shake at startup works great.

It looks quite impressive but I suspect a rocket blower would have shifted most of the dust. I haven't had to clean a sensor since the *istDS. £49.99 for the Pentax one seems a bit steep

Not quite sure how all that dab, dab, dab (and in the video he was pressing quite hard) is much easier than a wipe with a wet-clean swab.
Not to mention the cost.
After two years, my K-5 finally has a couple of dust spots that don't shift with the auto-clean, which I've had set to operate on start-up since I've had the camera.
I still have the swabs and fluid since I cleaned my K10D sensor. It's a really easy process, people shouldn't be scared of it.

One thing I did see mentioned elsewhere, and I'm not sure if it's an issue for us, is to watch that you don't drag any lubricant/grease from off the sensor onto it when wiping. That seemed like a good point, but I'm not sure if there actually is anything too nasty off to the side or not anyway?
