Advantages here : No fees, you can trust that your buyer won't (never say never) try to con you once they have the item.
Advantages Ebay : You will get a sale within your specified time 99% of the time (if it's an auction) as there is a much larger customer base.

Cheers Mike...Is there much difference in selling price? or does it depend on the market? Regards.

Depends on the market, I have never seen used prices so low as they are now .. unless you have something rare or that everyone wants.
To be honest if you are looking at selling equipment just to buy more it may even be worth talking to Chris at SRS to see what he will offer part exchange.

At the moment prices do seem very low. Like Mike says, unless it's a rare or very desirable item.
Best regards, John

Prices here on the forum seem lower, but then you don't have ebay or paypal taking a bite out of them. I prefer to buy (and sell) on the forums. I've never been burned doing that, while I have (several times) on ebay.

If I buy on here I look for a member who is actually here to take part in sharing and improving our photography skills and not just to sell gear. I normally sell or buy by bank transfer. I've never gone near ebay other than to find SRS or other retailer offers. i then ring the shop to discuss before completing the purchase.

I've both bought and sold on eBay for a long time - only really been burned once when someone bought the K-r and appeared to need the camera quickly as a present for his daughter, and so I pre-purchased the postage - but then the buyer then realized that the girl wanted a video camera and backed out but would not reimburse me for the postage! (my language was a bit ripe!). However, the next highest bidder then bought it at a slightly lower price (and I think he looked at the PU Forum after I told him about it).
So, it's generally reliable, but the sales fees are high.
However, be wary of small items from the Far East as some of the stuff is good but some of it is rubbish.

K-3 II, K-3 and a K-70 from SRS (having now relegated the K-30 /"K-50" to a backup body), & some Sigma and Pentax lenses (and a lot of old 35mm gear!)

I am now ready to sell some items , before buying other items.
What would be the advantage between selling here and on fleabay.
Apologies if this question appears cheeky.
