What aperture did you use for the lizard, Paul? I agree with Greytop, the shallow DOF does something for the image.

The lizard shot is very good. You must have been using this lens virtually wide open to get such shallow depth of field. Isn't it sharp, though?

Yes the lens was fully open at f2.8 and fully extended (focus wise) 1/125 with the samsung SEF36PZF and my plastic milk container & tinfoil diffuser
It is a lovely sharp lens though.

This is my first real play with this lens and I love the shapness but cant help thinking I can get a better DoF with the older manual smc 50 macro and extention. Maybe its because I have had it for longer and more comfortable/ used to using it.
Anyway C&Cs welcome
