Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.

Looks like you could almost have stitched a few shots together there Kris (although the second one is zoomed slightly).
I like both of them, can't pick a favourite either, very nice

Very nice, I particularly like the second one. A nice juxtaposition of rural and urban.

Many thanks all. With the second one I wish I hadn't burnt out the sun. I must buy some ND filters!

Best wishes, Kris.

That's because I'm rubbish at street scenes!

They're just amazing, Kris. Second on just has it for me but, then again...
I've got that lens. Perhaps I should use it sometimes if it can do this!

Andrew

(I thought you'd gone to Florida: even you can't have covered the whole of the eastern sea-board in a week. Or perhaps you can!)
Best wishes,

Andrew

Florida was in the first week in January. I was just in NYC this trip.

The kit lens is highly variable in quality, I was lucky that I got a very good example with my K10D which has negated my desire to buy a DA* 16-50 or a DA 16-45. I don't mind not having the extra 2mm as I have the 12-24mm, and the DA* 50-135mm covers the longer end. I am surprised how many of my shots are taken with the "humble" Mk I kit lens. I shan't part with it in a hurry.

Thats a familiar spot! I really like the second one, those clouds are beautiful. Every time I have made it to Central Park this Winter it has been overcast skies, so I haven't gotten any good shots yet. Nice capture.

I have always like this kit lens too, every time I have used mine at the wide end for shots like that it has produced pretty good results, in fact the only thing that lets it down is my eye ! I didn't realise they varied in quality though
