A Leica with the exact specification of the K-1 would cost around £10,000!!A K-1 is a Rich Man's Leica !

Well the divorce aspect does throw another light onto it ... I've been there myself many years ago, in my youth clearly at a time when I didn't think things through as much as I do now
It's puts a new slant onto the whole jumping ship thing ....'all items up for sale, the divorce has just come through so I'm going Full Frame' .... ....
Hey, that's a new thing anyone realised now that we don't HAVE to jump ship to go FF ...?!?

I am enjoying this thread. I will almost certainly never own a K1, but I am enjoying in vicariously through the forum.
I have neither the money or the Mojo for such a wonderful bit of kit.

Well its put paid to all the complaining and moaning type threads we used to have, about why Pentax had failed to produce a FF !
It presents rather a challenge really .... No longer can we sit back and just say we want/need a FF, and how terrible it is to have to switch brands to get one. Somehow for many us, the reality of having a much easier choice is now not quite so .... easy.

Not only a Pentax Full Frame but a very GOOD Pentax Full Frame at a price that beats the nearest competition, and includes features and capabilities that no others have.
There's nothing near the price that's anything like as good...wish I could say the same about the lenses.......
I don't keep cupboards full of older cameras like some people, I sell to upgrade, and I sold some cherished collectibles to fund the K-1, and very happy so far......

No, I took it to mean that his ex really did not see the Full Frame advantage.

Since then I have recovered, and stayed single, so If I have some money I can do what I want with it, no-one I need to ask or appease
SO, no redecoration or holiday this year, no new 'outfits' or hairdos, just a Pentax K-1 full frame.
I think I might go to the pub now, and stay out as late as I like!
