Rendering ?

Often on the forum when discussing the merits of a particular lens I've seen the phrase. "It has that classic Pentax rendering".

What does that mean ?

The overall look of an image, its characteristics, its overall rendering.

Colour, contrast mostly and some have a 3d look around them. Look up with the FA limited lenses do and compare them with other photos.
