I like the idea a lot.

I'll give it a go, and post as soon as done.

Well. This is definitely not conventional...

Ok, let's complete our voices, so we know who we kindly ask to submit next RAW. Simple rules proposed for this on the page 2 were "each of the participants + person who submitted RAW indicates the best work and secondary best (backup ) in their opinion (but don't point itself ). In case of tie the one with most of 'secondary' wins, as a last resort person who submitted RAW has last word. "Winner" in reward will try to submit another RAW for next challenge".

My ones go to: Isdky (clear, nice tone, strong sharpening which seems to work well here), secondary goes to MGraley (very nice snow storm shown).
I must say that some interesting propositions have been submitted, I hope much more to go, and Nathan, yes definitely not conventional, still interesting though.

Is this what you mean piotro?
1st: nathanever82 (fascinating, great colours - never would have thought of it!)
2nd: jackitec (again fascinating! I can't stop looking at the "barbed wire" effect in the snow)

My votes:

Galoot (1st) and isdky (2nd) - The cropping/processing has brought out some mood from the basically dull subject, while still being quite true to it.

Just a thought, but whoever wins would need access to online hosting with a sizeble download quota.

As a starting point the one I used to upload first RAW could be tried, doesn't require any registration, quota is enough for RAW, download speed not bad without paying, any better propositions welcome.

We haven't received many votes from people participating, so I guess at the end of today I will count votes we have and ask the best scorer whether he would like to upload RAW for next competition.

My votes:

1st jackietec - love the 'plasma' effect.

2nd Mike-P: like the 3d bas-relief type thing, almost tangible.
'The RAW is the score and the print is the performance' - Apologies to Ansel Adams

Thanks for all who added to this topic, results are:
Galoot ( 2 x first vote), Isdky ( 1 first and 1 sec vote, same as Jackitec, but as the one who submitted RAW I sustain my vote, so it is Isdky).

So, Galoot would you like to submit next RAW, maitain new topic for the challenge, set-up ending date, count votes, (etc) and all that fun ? .

Sorry, I did mean to come back to you, but I have been working away from home a lot recently.

I agree with Gartmore, that it does feel like a PhotoShop competition, and as I don't shoot RAW much, I have very little to offer.

I hope someone feels this is worth taking forward, but, I'm sorry it holds little interest for me

I found this thread somewhat late but didn't realise it was all done until I'd already come up with my own version. So I'll post it anyway. No Photoshop used here. Just UFRaw and Gimp.
