I'm not sure but I think this is a factor of a cropped sensor.
The F number doesn't change as it's the relationship between the focal length and the aperture size.
In a cropped sensor camera the F number stays the same but as the lens is effectively increased then the Aperture Value is, in effect, 1/3 larger.
But if anyone has a better idea....

One shows the following information which seems to be giving two conflicting values for the aperture used:
F-Stop: f/8
Aperture Value: f/6
John
