Excellent suggestion - I was disappointed I was unable to make the recent Keswick meet.

Bedale is local for me - so I could ( assuming the date fits ) possibly provide a lift from Northallerton or Thirsk

Be good to meet some of you

Late breaking news, after emailing and having an intimate relation ship the Thor Perrow answering service, I have finally been contacted by the administration team. They have no problems with amateur photographers on the site but strictly disallow the sale of images taken within the grounds. We can also have a group booking rate, however the message was unclear if we had to pay upfront for this, I will have to wait for the booking form to arrive in the post. They have not discovered PDF's yet!

From the feed back on our site I am assuming that the Saturday is best for all and does everyone still see Thorp Perrow as a viable site?

When I looked it only saved us 1.20 each. Not a big difference.

Yes, I can definitely do it. Let's make it a firm date.

Now hang on a minute, some of us are coming up from Yorkshire, and even more reason is some are coming down from Scotland, 1.20 is a lot of money to be throwing away

However regardless of the EXPENSE I will be attending on the Saturday

Imagine if 1,000 people show up. Could save us the cost of a K-7!

I have had a look around to see if Tamron have a UK office they use a company called INTRO2020 so that may be a dead end, Sigma do have offices in the UK though. I could drop them a line in hope, you never know it could be something amazing like a lens cloth.

We all know Intro2020 quite well Graham, they used to be the UK Pentax Importer till Pentax decided to go it alone, so telling them its a Pentax meet might be rubbing salt in the wound They are extremely customer friendly though, I broke my Velbon tripod head some time ago and they sent the part out FOC.

May be worth poping Sigma a line, you never know. I'll drop them a groveling email over the weekend.

Re Sigma, I've had no response yet. Also I still have no sign of the Thorp Perrow group booking form, I must be wearing the wrong deodorant or something
