Try to use the camera every day but it isn't always possible due to other activities/health, so must register as 'at least weekly'. On days with no camera the potential shots abound and when I drag a ton of kit with me there's nowt to be found! As John pointed out, the weather is not a deterrent, except maybe the cold on my fingers. Ah, the bliss of weather resistance!
Welcome also, Sandeep. Good to have you aboard. Do post some pics and join in the forum.

Gwyn - I'm sure things will sort themselves out, and good luck with the project.
Pentaxophile - Don't we all: leave them home, and then find the picture we've been waiting for... I wish I could be as disciplined as Mike, lugging his Lowepro to work daily.
Simon - That sounds like another poll waiting its turn? Good catch with the rainbow and lighthouse. The rockpool reflection is lovely, as is the sky.
Stephen - That's Murphy's Law again...

Any photographer going to black point lighthouse, Penmon WITHOUT a camera should be ashamed of himself!i-Berg wrote:
That sounds like an 'ad hoc / as needs' answer for you then.
If the poll read "when do you take your camera" it would have been easy to answer as it's everytime I venture to the coast/Snowdonia etc - over time though I've decided that certain lighting just doesn't work well so sometimes it never leaves my rucksac - wouldn't risk leaving it at home though as I might miss fleeting opportunities like this one...simonkit wrote:
I can't really choose an answer from the poll as it very much depends on the UK weather - in other words it's anybodys guess !!

I've ticked every day although the truth is probably somewhere between daily and weekly. I rarely leave the house without one or other of my cameras although on work days I find I have taken it there and back and not had a chance to use it. If I want small and compact I take the MX with the 40mm pancake in its blimp.

I use my K10D almost everyday, and not only for the normal family or creative photography shots. For example last weekend I took the tumble drier to pieces to fit a new drive belt. Great having the camera to hand to photograph the disassembly process, so when I put it all together again I knew where are the pieces went. My memory is not what it was these days !

I don't use mine nearly enough, but I don't get out of the house nearly enough either, and when I do I have at least the kids and usually "The Boss" in tow as well.
I go through stages of taking the camera to work with me, intending to stop on my way home, but by the end of the day I just can't be bothered.

I can't really choose an answer from the poll as it very much depends on the UK weather - in other words it's anybodys guess !!
Simon
That sounds like an 'ad hoc / as needs' answer for you then.
