photoshop or elements?

Hi guys. I saw a thread or two mentioning the Gimp, and I know a lot of us guys use ps cs2 and I also saw some posts(made more than my fair share) on improvising.
For those that care to check it out, here's a shot I did in studio last night.
In the oft overlooked ps elements, I laid out a proof of concept for my customer..twenty minutes after the shoot.
Of course I'll re-open the file and finish it in photoshop before taking to lab for 16x20's but for many folks, I thought the proof of concept would impress with elements capabilities. Well worth the money for those that can't afford its' big brother.

I've used Elements for many years. In addition, the book "Hidden Elements" (also on www.hiddenelements.com) was extremely useful in pushing the bounds of PSE, and in fact laid the groundwork for much of my Photoshop CS2 skills

I use Elements, and swear by the book "Photoshop Elements for Photographers" by Scott Kelby. (Occasionally I swear at it an on it!)

I can't really justify the cost of the full Photoshop package, and I don't think I need all its facilities. Having proper colour channels in PSE would be nice though.

Thank you Mattmattic. The great ting was doing the initial layou while my significant other, gave the customer a coffee. I know the wings need repositioning and reshaping(alittle perspective control) and feather textures applied, but have 10 layers to work with. Sat with customer and by moving elements around clicking layers on and off, I was able to get the customer interacting in the composition design. It's what they like. I still got a few hairs to remove, and other work, but rare is the customer that gives me cart blanch with the model release, and i'm using it for a before middle and end video in my site, to show potential customers how we work.
